Almost Seamless
I'm 5'8" and I weigh 146 lbs. I purchased these in Small using the "short" leg option. I do not like loose-fitting bibs. These felt a bit snug, but were perfect once I got on the bike and rode. This is my third pair of Rapha Pro bibs. These are definitely the best of the three. Over the past 3-4 years Rapha has improved their designs. These bibs have very few seams. I've always held Assos bibs as the best on the market, but these are the first bibs I've ever used that top Assos in comfort. I've ridden with them 4 times, averaging ~ 50 miles each time. I've experienced no chaffing. They are extremely comfortable. Very good compression, but not over the top. Nature break is easy as the front "V" goes low enough.

Chamois and comfort good, sizing, fit length awful
These feel on the cusp of being great bibs. But they're not. For close to 200 pounds I really think there are better bibs out there. The chamois is comfortable, the material feels slick and really aero (if not a little bit shear). It's the length that gets me. I'm 6"2 and 75kg take a Medium and these are still way too long. When I'm at the full extension of my pedal stroke the cuff around my quad flaps around a little bit. And I would expect that I'm on the taller side for the Ms. Maybe they are more suited to power sprinters with huge quads, but the fit doesn't feel good for what I'd call a general cyclist fit.

Best shorts I have ever used.
I've tried the "expensive" shorts from just about every manufacturer I can think of. When you spend $250 to $300 for a pair, they better be good. These are. Over the years, I have come to believe that a super-high quality pad that is thin rather than thick works best for me. These have such a pad. They also seem to last forever, and remain comfortable. I have about five pairs of these now, and still use the first ones I bought over three years ago - they are still good. I am fussy about everything I use in cycling and shorts are no different. These are my favorite shorts. That says it all.

Strange fit for lanky guy
Lovely design & details, comfortable chamois (when it’s in the right place), but weird fit for a lanky guy like me (193cm, 90kg). I ordered XL based on the size guide, and while the shorts are loose in the leg to the point of being too big, the torso and straps are way too short. I spent half my first ride in these bibs pulling the chamois out from between my buttocks as the short shoulder straps kept pulling it up. Not what I want on a 180km ride, nor what I expected from a super-premium pair of bib shorts.

Two pairs with defects
I've had two of these bib shorts. On the first pair the chamois got torn horizontally about midway on the chamois making the pairs useless. The second pair has after literally 3 hours of use already started showing a wear spot on the fabric opposite of the chamois where the fabrics are starting to roughen up, only a matter of time before it will develop to a proper hole in the fabric.
There is something seriously wrong with either the quality or QC of Rapha bibs these days.

Bizarre fit
These are lovely shorts but the leg openings are gigantic. I don't feel I have particularly thin legs and have always been delighted with the fit of Rapha shorts up to now. The look and build of these is is wonderful as you'd expect but at 6'3" I like the longer shorts but when I got these on they literally flapped around my thighs, so unfortunately I had to send them back. I very much hope they get tightened up for 2018 as I would love to give them a proper go.

Quality bibs
Like my other bib shorts, I chose a size M (185 cm, 69 kg). They are the 'long' version, which means (for me) that the legs end at about 10 cm from the front of the knee. The fit and finish are great - these bibs are clearly a step above the Core shorts. They are also slightly more compressive, which is most noticeable off the bike. I wore them on several rides, including a few longer ones up to 6,5 hours. The first few hours they feel amazing, after that I usually have to reposition them a bit. Once that's done there's no further discomfort. No saddle sores, no chafing.
I'm planning a 350 k ride in a few weeks time (Longest Day!). I'll wear the Pro Team bib shorts, no doubt.

High quality - But size matters.
These are excellent, high quality bibs. The construction and material is fantastic. I for the life of me though can’t believe how inconsistent Rapha’s sizing has been for a long time. I’ve several pairs of Medium ProTeam and PT Training Bibs. This pair for whatever reason has the shortest straps and due to the lack of stretch in the material, is quite uncomfortable over the shoulder, even when riding. I’m 179cm and 73kgs, which fits the ‘medium’ space perfectly. Why does size matter so much? Rapha’s new online return process takes about 3 weeks to start and finish… So, that isn’t very inviting. It’s almost a ‘you get what you get and you don’t get upset’ scenario. Rapha, whoever is in charge of your sizing department, time for them to find a new job!!! Sizing aside, all else is excellent.

Excellent bib shorts for your long rides
Excellent quality, great fit, cool style, expensive bib. I hesitated a while if these where worth their price, as I was already happy with the Core bib shorts I use. I can now say they are worth every cent and then some more. I worn my Pro Team IIs for many hours on many rides till 100+km and the new, denser/firmer, pad was comfortable the entire day. The comfort only really shows itself when you're on the bike. I have other shorts that feel immediately comfy when you put them on whereas the Pro Team bibs feel slightly constrictive off the bike however that's how it should be. Once on the bike they are fantastic and are now my "go to" shorts for long distance where they excel. Great fit. I am 185cm/80kgs and the Large fits perfect to me. Recommended for those that spend "time" in the saddle.

Poor leg gripper
I loved the previous generation Pro Team bibs in long leg- as I have long thighs and the extra length was great and the gripper kept everything in place. The new/current bibs do not. The change in the gripper results in the hem sliding up during a ride to approximate the regular length. Disappointing and would not have spent so much on these if I knew this would happen. Would much rather the prev generation pro team long bibs

Disappointed in the quality control
After wearing Rapha for many year’s and being an RCC member for 4 of those. This bib and the terrible quality control had made me jump ship.
The 1st pair I bought, the chamois came apart inside the bib and gave me a saddle sore.. Rapha did replace, only for the chamois to do the same thing again.
I’ve since been refunded, sold all my kit and moved onto another brand.

Don't grip at thigh
I have used pro-team bins for years and obviously upgraded to the new ones but found that the new gripper isn't snug. I ended up sending back my first pair and down sized but even the smaller ones do the same thing unless I pull them up euro-style mid thigh which I don't like.
Rapha have been great on customer service as always but disappointed I don't have a "go-to" short anymore.

Not as Good as Gen One
I am a huge Rapha fan and i'm writing this review as a comparison between the gen 1 and 2 long version in size M. I am 5'11 with a 32" waist, hope this is helpful.
I don't think that these are as good as the original PT bibs for the following reasons. I have skinny legs and no matter how high (above my tan lines no less) I pull the gripper there are still openings that catch in the wind. This is why I didn't like the Core shorts, it's disappointing to see this style of gripper used for PT.
I also don't think the pad is as comfortable as the original. I regularly ride 200km+ routes (usually weekly) and have experienced no discomfort with the OG model. The new pad however feels too wide, I can also feel the centre seam which has never been an issue for me and is pretty uncomfortable.
I honestly can't recommend these if you are similarly proportioned to me and do a lot of long rides.
I really hope Rapha bring out a PT 'training' short that is the same as the last edition, otherwise i'll be trawling ebay for an used pair of gen one shorts when I need a new pair. I would score these lower but they are well made and seem to be working for most other people.

Amazing!
These are the only bibs I want to wear, except for my cargo bibs on "dirty" rides. The Pro Team Bibs far surpassed my expectations. The fabric is incredibly light, so much so that other than the compression, I don't know they are there. The chamois breathes well, and provides comfort without sacrificing bike feel. The straps are comfortable and stay in place. I really enjoy the support these bibs provide through my lower back, I feel like they help me when my form starts to go. All in all my favorite bibs, I own 4 pair.
As far as sizing is concerned I'm medium at 5'9"(75c) and 178lbs(80kg). I have a long torso and short thighs, so I feel like I am a terrible reference for size.

New leg grippers are terrible
My all time favourite bibs have been ruined (apologies in advance for the emotive review). I am a tall skinny road rider (but not as skinny as Froome or Wout Poels who I assume were invloved in the development of and wore these bibs). The new leg grippers on the Pro Team II bibs don’t grip my legs and flap in the wind - so much so that I have had to downsize from a Large to a Med and even then the grippers are loose. (a) this didn’t happen with the old design - why has this changed?; and (b) I can’t see how this very flexible new fabric needs to be this loose as it would surely stretch to accommodate larger thighs. This now means the bibs are less comfortable for me as the straps on the Medium are tighter and unless I can get a size “long” they come half way up my thigh. This also restricts the different colours I can purchase as you only seem to make the long in one or two colour ways (?!). I am also an RCC member - Cuts me out of the new RCC pro team II bibs as you don’t make them in “long” and I don’t fancy looking like Sean Yates. I am perhaps most surprised by this - I would have thought that RCC members would be given the premium offering and would have all size options available to them.
I hope this review is constructive - love your pro team bibs but the new grippers are a clear fail.

Long Bibs - the best on the market.
I had been looking and shopping around for a pair of Bib shorts that would cover the length of my thighs since I have long legs like Hugh Carthy. I always discounted Rapha's long bibs fearing the price and decided to bite the bullet and give them a try. I was immediately impressed by the length and that the end does not ride up the leg while on the bike. Not only that, but, like all Rapha bibs, the comfort is incredible. The pad is excellent the straps are not tight and I never even think about the bibs while on the bike meaning that I am super comfortable. Well done Rapha for listening to your customers.

Ripped on first ride.
Bibs ripped at seam of chamois on first ride, leaving me with a huge whole at my, erm, rear, for the rest of the 50km return home. Have had the Pro team bibs from previous seasons and loved them (and they've lasted), but these are below usual standard and pretty disappointed for the price.

Uncomfortable pad
I've had several pairs of pro team shorts, one of which is my oroginal pair in Skoda livery! I was looking fwd to these due to the improved gripper design. However the pad isn't comfortable. It's an odd fit and not bedding in well. Compared to the excellent fit in the Lightweight bibs it's not showing up.well.

Comfort!
I already owned a pair of 2014 Pro Team bibs but thought I'd try these due to the tailored pad to short size. I ordered the long version first but the legs were just too long for me. I exchanged them for the regular (which took quite a while to process!- nearly two weeks from posting the return to receive my the replacement) which is the same length as my old shorts.
The new shorts do seem comfort on the backside than my old ones, so all is good.
I am 6'3" with a 36" waist and 33" inside leg. The XL regular length fit nicely.

Great but not as good as previous PT bibs
These are great set if bibs and if you've never experienced the previous version of the Pro Team bibs then you will be happy. The legs initially don't feel as compressive as the previous version and I was concerned that they would ride up my legs but this isn't the case and they stay in place and offer a good level of support. The one area where these bibs fall short is the pad. The previous pad was a chunky thing that would give all day comfort. The pad in the new bibs feel a lot thinner and after a 3-4 hour I started to get some discomfort in my sit bones.
As for sizing I find the small fits me best. I'm 172cm but have a short torso so medium can be a bit loose on the shoulders.

Usually top notch but these bibs have issues
I have a few pair of pro team bibs and they are great but this most recent pair had issues after my second ride. The shammy foam ripped inside the bibs in the same place on both sides. Hoping I can exchange them.

Pro Team Bib Shorts II
This is my first ever pair of Rapha shorts and I am so glad I bit the bullet and invested in a decent pair as these are the best I have ever had by a long way. Wore them on a 100km ride after a couple turbo sessions and can easily say there worth every penny. So comfortable and fit is absolutely perfect. The all black ones I chose are very discreet which is the way I like them so they go with everything. Already got my friend to buy a pair too as I can't recommend these highly enough!! Definitely looking at my next Rapha purchase already.

Best buy ever!
For several month I tried to convince myself that the Pro Team Bib Shorts II were too expensive, but I closed my eyes and pushed the button...and have not regret the purchase at all. Best BIBs ever. Even the first ride was smooth and comfortable. Now I am saving for a second shorts....but shhh don't tell my wife

Great bib for people built like pro riders.
The fabric on the abdomen of the bib has ripped near that mid seam before the chamois. These shorts like the matching jersey run pretty tight, I have an XL and the length is fairly long. I wasn't aware of the vast differences between their core and racing bibs. I think the construction and everything is great, I just have a 28in thigh and around a 40 inch waist so we're packed in a little tight into these. The compression and seam design is great, and I like the visibility of this colorway so I wear these the most. But 5 rides in this bib and the sewing has given way to my thiccness!

Comfortable but not Durable
Bought the XL long leg and the shorts fit well and are comfortable over longer rides 6 hours plus with no discomfort or hot spots. However after a number of rides and a few washes the outer stitching on the pad is starting to fray and the material is starting to shine where I make contact with he saddle. I would have expected a bit more longevity at this price point as this is not an issue with other short I own.

Still tops even after hundreds of miles of use
Started with two, now three pairs of these Shorts II - Long, and have put them to the test in almost daily 40-50 mile rides over the past three months. There has been no loss of compression in the thighs, no loss of comfort or cushion in the pads, and no loss of tautness or stretch in the bibs over this time and washes (delicate cycle, just in case) over all of this time. These remain highly comfortable even in the heat we've had lately. I even got caught in an unexpected thunderstorm recently and didn't feel bogged down or prone to extra chafing even when soaked to the bone. Very glad to have the alternate pairs to wear. I also like the extra length for both style, more compression, and sun protection.

Long size for taller riders.
I am a fan of this bib short. I am 6 ft, 2 in., about 190 lbs and have a size Large Long. The quality is good with nice, but not overdone, compression. The leg band is well made, wide and keeps leg in place. The difference maker for me is that it comes in a long size. This is the only brand I could find that offers a long option. As for the chamois, it is a bit large and thick. It seems I needed to wash it about 10 times to shrink the chamois and get a bit more room for the boys. I am still hoping for a little more ’boy’ room. Will likely buy another pair. Overall: Kudos to Rapha.

My Favorite Bibs
I've been wearing Rapha pro team bibs for the better part of a decade. The Pro Team II is the biggest improvement they've ever made on this style. The fit is comfortable while still feeling fast, the chamois provides enough padding but is still slim enough to keep you connected to the saddle and the road. And most importantly, the leg cuff has been dramatically improved. The wider band distributes compression across the leg--no more sausage leg.

Best bibs....so far!
I’ve bought some top brand bibs over the last few years but wanted to go top drawer. After careful consideration the short list was drawn, Assos or Rapha?. after all the reviews I plumped for the Rapha (pro team 2 long) not disappointed either, style 5/5, quality 5/5, fit 4/5 comfort 4.5/5 value 4/5. I guess at almost £200 my expectations were a little optimistic for long distance comfort, great bibs though, highly recommended. 185cm / 83kg (large) fits well, tried Medium but with my slightly longer torso the straps were tight. ( similar build to froomey without the power)
