The perfect jacket for all occations
I purchase this a few weeks ago and have used it only once so far. Features are perfect, and even if it is not raining the jacket can be use in cooler days. It feels nice to the touch, the cuffs are perfect and helps water not get in or cold wind as well.
The only caveat I have is some of the "Core" products (at least the last couple of long sleeve jerseys I've purchased) seem to run a little small. In the past I've purchased a couple of classic jerseys, a couple of the first short sleeve core jerseys, and they fit me perfect in XL size. For this purchase I decided to go with the XXL and it fits perfect, not too loose and not too tight. I suggest to go one size up if you have experienced the same.

Great rain jacket
I bought this to replace a different brand jacket and am really pleased I did. The weekend after it arrived I was so glad of it as I slogged through the Bealach Mor sportive in the Scottish Highlands where it was cold, very wet and blowing a stiff wind. The Core Rain jacket kept me very dry and held the worst of the cold off. For what is a light fabric, it worked wonders. If truth be told if I had packed a hard shell jacket I would have worn that throughout the day - but I didn't pack it. The Core Rain jacket was just as protective and would have been easy to stow away if the weather had improved. Which it definitely didn't!
I bought the hi viz colour, which is actually a pleasant shade of yellow, but is equally eye catching for motorists.
My only 'I wish it...' observation is that with some stuff in my jersey back pockets, the Core Rain jacket rises up and is just a smidge short at the back. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of if you are near the cusp of a size.

Does its job and looks good
About 15 uses so far. Mostly for windy/cool days (~40-50°F). Works as a great both as a wind blocker and rain stopper. Got caught in one big rain and it kept me dry (butt/ lower back got wet due to wheel spray). I'm 6ft 4inch tall, 168lbs. Ordered a size Medium. It fits snug (i prefer race fit) and just long enough for me (any shorter in the sleeves/torso wouldn't work). Just enough room to put on a base layer and jersey on under the jacket. I've never owned any other cycling rain jacket, so don't have a comparison but it's working as intended! I would buy it again.

Waterproof but not very breathable
First the good bits. Waterproof, very packable in a jersey pocket, nice cut, very light, nice colour. But.. not very breathable at all. In between showers you can undo the zip all the way but my arms still end up soaked in sweat. NB sizing is on the small side, I had to go up to an XL whereas I'm a medium in a brevet gilet.

Great waterproof and fit
My Core Rain jacket was shipped exactly before the rainy week, so i have tested this jacket on 100%. The waterproof was great, all the stitches carefully protected. I wish it has at least one small pocket.

Excellent look and fit, great quality
Very good quality jacket. I have only used in light rain so far but watching the water bead on the jacket suggests it is decent enough on waterproofing. Better than all my others so far. Did sweat a bit in it but actually pretty good ventilation again compared to previous jackets. In my experience full waterproofing and breathability comes with the price of a new mortgage and something i don't want to wear out in the rain in case it gets dirty! look and fit are great (size L I am 185cm, 85kg and more of a slimmed down ex rugby player build than cyclist build). I would definitely recommend.

Great rain jacket
I purchased this jacket looking for a lightweight rain jacket. The Core Rain Jacket ll has proven to be a winner and has kept me dry through many wet rides here on the west coast of Canada. It is a minimalist Jacket with no pockets but does offer a drawstring to tighten if the weather is nasty. I have worn this jacket in torrential rain and it keeps me completely dry. I do not find it overly warm, like any waterproof rain jacket you will sweat depending on what you choose as a base layer.
I highly recommended this jacket if you are looking for an affordable rain jacket that performs well.

Good value for money and recommended.
This is a great rain jacket and it's nearly the same price as a Gillet, so I think it's actually really good value for money even when comparing with other brands. My first ride was in proper rain for 40 mins and the water just beaded off the jacket. It was also more breathable than my last Rapha rain jacket I bought some years ago. I love the black one, but bought the yellow jacket for visibility in poor conditions and felt safer on the road. Size L was perfect for my 182cm, 83kg frame. I like the lycra cuffs on the sleeves and the short rear flap. The only negative for me was the zip could be a bit bigger as it was hard to find wearing full finger winter gloves. The lack of a pocket didn't worry me, anything in your jersey pockets stays dry. The material is actually quite thin which helps stop you overheating. I've just bought the Rapha wash and re-proofer to ensure the water continues to bead and the jacket retains it's breathability.

Decent, but probably too expensive for what it is
Jacket fit is spot on. As with most rain jackets, there isn't enough airflow / breathing which will trap your sweat inside the jacket. Stitching and construction is high quality, although the jacket is very highly priced for what it is.

Pretty good
My original core rain jacket was ruined in a crash. Bought this one as replacement. Except the styling, there is little difference. The fabric is less "dotty" on the inside. The sleeves are not 3 layer fabric any more (info on the website is not correct). It's the same 2,5 layer fabric for the whole garment, and that makes a difference. Your arms will easier get clammy in cold and/or rainy conditions. Breathability is correct. Like most jackets, if you work very hard, you will get wet inside. So just pace yourself.

Boil in the Bag
Wore in the summer with short sleeve over ended up wetter than if I hadn’t worn it, the inside was dripping when I took it off. Tried again when it’s was colder evening ride with long sleeve still ended up damp but warm. I run hot and tend to sweat more that average

Highly visible orange, does the job but has limits
The fit is quite relaxed so I should have sized down (usually a S in Rapha jerseys, could have gone for an XS). The rear is nice and long, but the front is a bit long on me and bunches up. The cuffs seal well and prevent wind/water from getting in. The orange colour is super high viz, perfect for winter. The material seems to be waterproof (not 100% convinced in heavier downpours) but it's not very breathable and gets quite warm. The zip is terrible, it's really difficult to pull up and down without gloves on, never mind with them on. I got this cheap in the sale so don't mind too much, but wouldn't buy it again.

Limited functionality
Not a great product, despite the high build quality/nice fit. No venting, no pockets and the elastic cuffs contribute to a lack of breathability - a simple velcro fastener for the cuffs would have been far better. I thought this would be a perfect light-weight rain jacket for mild days but found myself wetter on the inside than outside.

Bright and Light
Have the Orange Jacket, A couple of days ago on a drizzly dull day on a long quiet gravel road a car coming towards me pull over on the other side of the road and the driver wound down his window, yelled across the road: "hell mate that jacket is super bright", gave me the thumbs up and drove off!!
I've been rained on and blown to bits, the jacket stands up, have read some complaints about it not breathing, not sure if anything that is a tight fit and does a good job keeping you dry while moving at great speed does breath well? I for one didn't have any problems with the breathing but to be fair I wasn't racing. (I do wear it to warm up on some rides if not wearing my puffer)
Packs down to nothing, fits into my back pocket, currently wearing it with a long sleeve base layer, arm warmers and Brevet jersey so is a snug comfortable fit, (No flapping) I'm 193cms and 91kgs.
PS - Loved the cuffs on the sleeves, stops air coming in and hold sleeves in place.

Delivers purpose
I am 182cm/78kg and M size fits perfectly. Wanted jacket that could protect me against wind, rain and could be worn at lower temperatures. Did not want to buy seperate items for wind and rain.
This product covers all my requirements. It is lightweight and easily fits in jersey pocket as described in product details. Product is 100% water repellent. Also it can cover against wind and keeps me warm. Have worn on top of base layer (thermal) and jersey at +3C and it protected me against wind as required.
Had read lot of reviews in case of poor ventilation which kept me some time from buying this item and searching alternatives. Came to conclusion that you cannot have both with rainjackets as great ventilation and 100% water protection. Ventilation is sufficient for this product. I am not wearing it while doing intervals, tempo etc. and for easy rolling it ventilates perfectly.

Decent Jacket for the price
Bought the red in small. Really happy with this so far, only worn on 3 occasions & it rained on 1 of those days. On the wet day kept me dry,was only out an 1.5hr but was comfortable even though it was windy. It packs down really small into jersey pocket which is much the same as jackets over £100 more. Only down side to more expensive one's is that the longer you wear it breathabilty becomes a bit of an issue but nothing drastic. I am 5ft 6ins 147lbs, sml perfect fit even with winter layers.

Ticked most of the boxes
I had a big week of riding coming up and the weather was due to be pretty wet conditions as well as cold. This jacket held up more than expected and was very comfortable. My only gripe was the zipper is very stiff and I don't feel it will last that long as it will catch on something and the teeth will bend out of place. Other garments I have the zipper works nice and smoothly, but the last x3 garments I bought from Rapha, the zippers we very stiff and don't glide nicely at all - which makes it near on impossible to undo them or do them up whilst riding.

Wholeheartedly recommend
Firstly this is very functional. I’ve yet to wear it during a heavy downpour but the jacket has coped well in the rain I’ve ridden in so far. Mud spray wipes off the jacket too I’ve noticed which is a huge plus. I’ve got the orange jacket and it looks really understated and classy. (Unlike me)
As for the fit, I’m 6’5” and weight wise I have no business being on a road bike AND even this jacket fits very well indeed in XXL. I love the cuffs which have a soft grippy material to form a seal. The zip is slightly offset making it easier for doing up one handed whilst riding. I’ve not packed it away in my pocket yet but it’s so light and thin I can’t see it will be an issue. The insulating material works well combined with the air inlets by the armpit stopping overheating. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Practically perfect
I had the original rain jacket and this is essentially a refresh of that classic under the Core branding. Does it keep the water out? Yes. Does the asymmetric zip add to comfort and look cool? Yes. Is the jacket well fitted and cut for cycling? Yes. The downsides, It would be nice if it breathed a little more, but I sweat a lot, I would rather it was cut a little longer at the back, but then I have a long torso. Overall I'm really happy with this jacket, and it packs down perfectly into a back jersey pocket and is ridiculously light. The old yellow colour is bright without screaming hi viz.

Core Rain Jacket II
A fantasitc looking jacket. Only worn once so far, on a feels-like 3C day which started off windy and dry and ended windy and very wet. Along with a long-sleeved base layer the jacket kept me warm throughout the ride, and the windproofing was excellent. Rain beaded on the jacket so I assume water-repellency was good from the outside, although I was pretty wet on the inside at the end - breathability maybe not so good.

Rain Jacket
Really like this jacket. Looks stylish and kept me dry during a half hour downpour. The only criticism I would make is that the tail could be a bit longer especially for when you have items in your jersey pockets.

Bang for the buck riding jacket
Yes, the commuter jacket which I bought first has hoods for a good downpour and a lot cheaper than the Core Rain Jacket II. BUT the one thing I learned from my commuter jacket is it turns into a sail when riding.
The Core Rain Jacket II doesn't have hoods but I still have my helmet and RCC cap for rain protection. And the best part of the Core Rain Jacket is the fit! It hugs your body but still comfortable to move. It's also highly packable in case you are fully warmed up and doesn't mind the wind chill.

Pretty pretty pretty good
Very stylish. I am 5'7" 150 lbs and purchased a size medium - fits great.
Waterproof- mostly. I live in Portland and most of our rainy days can be classified as drizzle. The water beads up and shakes right off in these conditions. I rode for about 30 minutes in a heavy rain and stayed dry, but the fabric did seem to be on the verge of soaking through.
This jacket doesn't breathe very well, so its probably best suited as a wind/water resistant layer during the winter, or to be kept in a jersey pocket on a warm day with intermittent showers.

Great but...
This is a great rain and windproof jacket. Its very light, can fold into almost nothing. My worries about it feeling too sweaty from other reviews were unfounded, I find it fine. But the zip is a pain, don't know if its just mine but its incredibly stiff - I have to stop the bike to zip up or down, and it always catches on the storm flap. Nice otherwise though!

Pretty good jacket...
Fit is great, a bit more relaxed than the usual medium but that's fine as it's meant to be an overcoat. Looks great and has been pretty good through the NZ wet months. Why not 5 stars? In temps above 10 deg you will sweat a lot in this, for me personally my arms end up soaking due to low ventilation.

Does Its Job Perfectly
Contrary to the many reviews complaining about the rain jacket being hot due to lack of air flow, this is another quality Rapha garment. It's a rain jacket and thus is designed to keep water out. Yes it gets a little warm inside but I'd prefer that to being soaked. You can't have warm ice cream or a colander that holds water, Common Sense 101, right? For what this jacket is and how Rapha pitches the product, it's a great value overall. Also rolls up nicely for those iffy weather days.

Comfortable, waterproof and very high-vis!
Things I like about it:
- Comfort - Wrist cuffs are very soft and comfortable, and nothing scratchy on the neck or chin. Sleeves are just the right length, and the longer length at the back ensures nothing gets on your jersey in a riding position. Super lightweight, and easy to forget you're wearing it.
- Visibility - Excellent bright orange, with a reflective patch on the left sleeve.
- Weatherproofing - Does exactly what it says, no rain entry whatsoever despite heavy downfalls on commutes home, and can see water droplets beading off. Absolutely no wind-chill either.
- Breathability - I tend to run pretty hot, but I haven't been sweaty in this one. Only area that gets a bit damp from sweat is my lower arms near the wrist, most likely due to the smaller air volume.
Things I didn't like:
- None!
