Doubles as a road soft shell
One of the nicest pairs of pants I've ever owned, cycling or otherwise. XS fits me just right (5'8" 125~130lbs). The cut and use of stretchy material makes it form fitting while also providing excellent freedom of movement. Never feels constricted when lifting a leg over a saddle or while riding. The form fitting cut makes it a decent "soft shell" for road riding - they're not tights but they don't flap in the wind like some other waterproof pants I've tried.

My new favourite pant
Thought I would try these as an alternative to the Fox pants I've been using for years. The Rapha Trail pants quickly turned into my favourite pants! The are longer than others I've used which suits me well as during the winter they cover my boots and stop water going straight in. The main feature I love though is the design of the pockets. Having two secure zipped pockets is great but the open pockets work so well. I don't put anything valuable in these for riding but they are deep enough you probably could but really handy for when you are just need to put something in quickly. The zipped pockets also hold the contents slightly behind your thigh, removes any pressure and provides comfort whilst riding.
These are really comfortable and are my go to during winter riding now. A little too hot for when the temp climbs above 10 degrees.

Best trail pants yet
These are the best trail pants I've had. The waist snap/button is solid, the length is good, and the ankle openings are just right. The side zip pockets are well-placed and open pretty easily (unlike most other side-zips). My only gripe is that the jean pockets tend to turn inside-out easily. I'd love to see a lighter weight version of these pants for days that get a little hotter, but are windy or rough enough that pants are preferred over shorts.

Trail pants for the leisure cyclist
Great pair of cycling trousers. Although I'm not a MTB rider ( I ride mostly on roads on a modern Dutch roadster, average 60 miles per week), I find that the trail pants are eminently suitable, they are warm, fit well and have plenty of secure pocket space for phone, wallet, credit cards and face coverings. Only one minor issue, the front fly zip is very short and not ideal for the occasional 'comfort' stop. Otherwise excellent piece of kit.

Great Pants, could be a tad longer.
I like these Trail Pants a lot, so much so that I have bought a second pair, great design, well thought out. They work well with knee pads. The waist adjustment is great on them them, make them snug around the waist. At 6'2 I would like to see them a little longer in the legs maybe and inch or two, as I usually where these in the colder months & with Winter boots on, its not much of an issue.

comfy pants with great pockets!
I really like the pockets on these pants. The front pocket is nice and deep, while the side pockets make it unoticalbe that you have anything in them! The pants are also quite warm! The pants fit true to the size chart. The only thing, is that I am tall (193cm) and the medium pants are quite short, which for me is ok as they don't get caught up in the drive side chain ring

Buy two
Rapha wrote to me asking that I review their trail pants even though I already wrote a review. I wrote it after I bought my first pair a couple months ago — gave the trail pants 5 stars cuz they’re awesome. Well, I liked that first pair so much that I bought a second pair — purple this time! Live life in bold strokes, I alway say. Anyway, Rapha trail pants are terrific.

Great all round trail riding pants
These pants fit great and are well made. They're very comfortable and move and stretch as needed while riding with plenty of room for knee pads underneath. Water resistant and breath very well. Using them in the PNW during our damp, cool winter and they are perfect. I'm 6' tall, 168lb and between a 33-34 in most pants and the size large fits perfectly.

Would buy again
I’m 6’3” 207 lbs with a 34” inseam and bought the XL. These pants have an excellent fit and the fabric seems very durable. They easily fit over my IXS carve knee pads without looking bulky or being restrictive. I’ve only worn them once for a day of October bike park riding but was very pleased with their overall comfort and temperature regulation.

I'm wearing them but lots of room for improvement.
Pros.
Hand pockets well positioned and useful.
No seams to rub on kneecaps for those of us who don't wear pads.
I was surprised that the though pocket is actually good and can barely notice a phone in there while riding.
They kept out more water than I was expecting.
Material feels plush against skin.
Good cut.
Cons.
Too short... They just need an extra inch in the length.
Thigh pocket is useable but the little phone holder inside is positioned too high, so putting a modern large smartphone inside becomes a two hand action...
Material on butt is slippy on some saddles.
Instead of using popper/button/slide clips that already exist for the main waist fastening, rapha have decided to invent a popper slider hybrid for some reason. Making it non repairable at home. Same goes for the zipper pullers on the pockets..
For such a premium brand, rapha is dragging their heels when it comes to sustainability. Sadly this garment has no eco credentials.

Bar setting riding pants
Sturdy and well constructed, with all the details you expect from Rapha (elastic phone strap in the cargo pockets, reinforced loop for hanging, secured snap). The articulation and stretch is great, natural enough when standing, great for riding. Enough room to wear over thermals. I could use another inch in length (6'4, 185, size Large).

Great pants
Great pants that I ride on the coldest days up to cool days when I just want more coverage. I have thick legs and seat and the ergonomics are great for riding. The cut is great for riding, but very comfortable just walking around. I am 5'9 and 185 and bought a large. I have a 33 waist and the adjustments make the fit perfect.

Arizona Trail Approved, they are outstanding pants
I absolutely love these pants. They protected me from cactus, snags, trees, thorns, sun, brush, rocks, and more while riding the AZT300 in Arizona. Fit is great (175 lbs, 5'10" size L) with room to move. They breathe enough, but they are durable enough. Pockets are handy. I think they are just outstanding for trail riding.

The perfect winter pant
I'm using it for the actual cold days for commuting to work and running. I'm not cold at all with this pant even at -3°C. This is breathable, my legs aren't all sweat and it's also great under light rain (I didn't try it under hard rain yet). The price is a bit high but you won't be disapointed, this is a great pant.

Superb design and manufacture
Actually bought these for travel, whenever that happens again. Stretch fabric, quick dry, fitting but not tight and room where it counts, plus zip pockets on the side, not in the groin area, which is ideal for plane flights/ rail seating. I love these. I might ride in them but don't really need long mtb pants in Oz.

One pant multi use
Not one to get into too much tech/ spec details.... Super comfy, I have been using these Trail Pants for Autumn travel, hiking and trail running in Canada, sure they will perform well when cycling. They hold warmth but do not get too hot. I have high expectations for Rapha gear and these continue to impress me.

Trousers that really work great design
Worth the money great design! Lucky enough to get these in the sale and u would say worth money at full price. Hilights are water repellent treatment which really works having used in our rainy summer! Other great feature is placement of the pockets which really work as items are out of the way when cycling.

Well thought out.
Well thought out trail pants. Great cut around the seat and knees and with cleverly-postioned pockets so that you can ride with a phone securely zipped in, but without feeling it. The legs are on the long side for me, probably 36", but this isn't a huge issue; they can be left as they are, or taken up.

Very happy
Best pants I've had for MTB use. Had rapha road gear before and always happy with the quality so when old MTB pants give up I've purchased these. Fit is great for me I like close fitting legs but not tights I think as my MTB clothing gives up I'll definitely buy more rapha. You can tell these will last

You just forget they’re on
Cut very well for riding, so be mindful that they do feel worse when you’re just standing around. Perfectly placed pockets, including a cell phone pocket on each thigh. I really like the simple look with very little branding. Ankle cuff is great - won’t catch on your chainring, but is t too tight.

Awesome Trousers
Amazing comfortable and practical trail pants. I bought a pair of shorts and was so pleased with them that I bought the trousers too. They’re even better, really comfortable, low friction and nicely wind resistant. I’ve been using them for walking too and may have to get a second pair.

Leg Length a bit short.
Very well made pants with a fantastic material that stretches a bit and is very comfortable to wear. The only drawback is that the leg length is a bit too short for me in size S. For reference I am 1.78 meters and weigh 65 kilograms. I wish there was a long leg version of the pants.

Top product
Absolutely excellent - present for my husband for Christmas who cycles regularly. He loves these trousers which are true to size, comfortable and versatile. He loves the slightly tapered leg which means wearing them with wellies for dog walks is also a joy. Top product!

The quality of design, materials and fit are are of significantly higher quality than a previous pair I purchased from an Australian mountain biking brand. This was the first item I've purchased from Rapha, and after one ride immediately ordered a few riding jersey's.

When only the best will do
Durable and comfortable pants that are the best I have bought to date. Preferred the fit and feel compared to Endura. Length is spot on and so is the inbuilt stretch. Room for pads and pockets are just about big enough to detach keys and cards and a smaller phone

Perfect fit, super comfy
The fit is perfect for me and they are very comfortable for riding. I love that they come with some repair patches made from material off cuts and the free repair service(I have yet to use this). They hold up well in winter and repel light rain and water.

Better than expected
Great shorts. Wore them at Whistler bike park, on the North Shore and on a heli drop in Pemberton, performed excellently throughout. These pants have a great fit and attention to detail. They also survived a couple of flat pedal strikes to the shins.

The Best Trail / Hiking Pants.
Everything about the pants (especially the fit) is perfect. The material and quality is way better than any other trail/hiking pants I have bought. The attention to details is also incredible. Its a bit pricey but I’ll definitely order again.
