Brilliant Jacket
Bought this jacket after shivering on a few December/January rides. Nice light weight, but completely cuts wind chill and works with varied under layers. Totally breathable so very comfortable and works across a good temperature range. Expensive, but very high quality and a good investment for years to come. Totally changed the winter rides! Would highly recommend.

The perfect jacket for winter commutes
Light but tough, this jacket is the perfect layering complement to a merino baselayer and long sleeve jersey. This is a go-to on sub freezing commuting days where I am typically on the bike from 45 minutes to an hour each way. Great job blocking the chill and the wet. The reflective bits are a nice touch and the medium is a great fit for my body type (5'9" 155lb).

Perfection
Really the best winter jacket around. Allows you to go comparatively light underneath, with just the Troueé d'Arenberg base layer when temperatures are above freezing, and the wind stopper base layer when below. Always warm, but not hot, breathable. Completely wind proof. You can unzip the two breast pockets for ventilation, or unzip entirely on a climb.

Can't fault it.
Bought the mustard yellow version and it is a typically lovely colour, and perfect for being seen around the small dark lanes where I ride. Fit is spot on for me over a core long-sleeved top, although a bit more restrictive if you added another layer - not that I think it needs it. Movement on the bike (and off) is spot on. It is a total joy to ride in.

A nice luxury item
I'm happy with this. I bought in yellow, which is actually more of a mustard, but still a nice color.
I don't think of this as an essential piece of gear -- Last year I bought the Brevet Goretex rain jacket which is an essential piece of kit. That's fully waterproof, this is water resistant. This has insulation, but of course you can just put on an insulating layer with the rain jacket... So I don't see anything here that can't be accomplished with other gear. For instance, I probably wouldn't tour with this and would just go with the Brevet rain jacket and a merino 250 layer... I bought this at half price which made it go down a bit easier.
But of course, I don't have a single jacket in my closet, and this has a place. First of all, you have to live in a place where you get multiple months of sub-40 (F) and better yet, sub-30/20. This is impressively warm without a lot of bulk or weight. At 40F, I'll wear a merino 150 t-shirt and be too warm climbing hills. At 30F I'll wear a merino 150 or 250 long sleeve and at 20 add a merino tanktop under everything as a 3rd layer.
This has better hang than the Brevet rain jacket. The Brevet rain jacket is a lightweight shell with a scrunchy back hem that rides up a bit. This jacket has more weight and a loose back hem so it hangs down much better. It's still cut for the bike but is also a good fit when walking around. As an aside, I imagine you could wear this on a motor scooter or motorcycle as well.
The sleeves are nice. For me they're long, but of course you want that for real winter gear. It wasn't clear to me when buying, but the sleeve design is good. The Brevet rain jacket has scrunchy wrists but these outer sleeves can hang down over gloves which is appreciated. There's also an interior, stretchy lining; so I can have the lining over the base of the wrist, then the glove, and then the outer layer of the jacket over the glove. It makes for a nice "airlock" type design. Of course it's all tight enough that gauntlet gloves will fit over the sleeves. So it works with different winter glove types.
I read some other comments about the use of the outer rear pockets, what are they good for, etc. Yeah, to me their purpose is to store other winter gear that you might shed over the course of the ride. I seem to always start with more than I need once I get up to riding temperature. So bulky arm/leg warmers, neck buff, skullcap, etc., I think that's what the outer rear pockets are for.
For me, I'm using this to lower a bit of the startup time to get out riding in the city in winter. It's not a big production to just throw this on and get riding in lower temps, which I need to do! I'd also use it for 2-3 day trips on my local rail trail as well, provided the weather forecast didn't call of heavy rain -- I'd be comfortable in light rain or any level of snowfall and the temp was low enough.
All told, I'm happy.

The perfect winter riding jacket
This is my primary jacket for riding in temps below 50 F (10 C). I have ridden with this jacket below freezing multiple times. It is perfect, I wouldn't change a thing. It is not bulky, yet warm. It is wind resistant. I like the lining around the wrists. The zipper is easy to operate, even with heavy gloves. I highly recommend this jacket.

A well designed early winter jacket
This is a well made jacket that does block wind and rain effectively. I have only worn it down to 0°C with a base layer and a Rapha insulated vest under it. Since the jacket is not insulated, I doubt it will work much below freezing without a heavier base. The Large size is good and I like the longer sleeves. I am 185cm, 79kg male. Recommended.

Definitely a fan of this top so far 2 mo
Where I ride this is my staple for upper 20’s to low 50’s (F). It breathes great, has excellent visibility. It’s been a great purchase. A bit tight on my forearms but the body is fine for layering, particularly with a gillet if its particularly cold. I’ve ridden in light rain as well and did fine. I’m 6’3” 228 lbs btw and ride 40-60 mi/d.

Amazingly comfortable and light weight yet protect
When I unpacked this jacket, I wasn’t sure whether it would hold what it promised. Wore it once in light rain during temps slightly above freezing and at 15F. With a proper base layer underneath, this jacket is excellent. It wears very nicely and comfortably. The red color is highly visible. I am honestly amazed and so glad I bought it.

Great jacket
Awesome jacket-almost don't want winter to end.generously sized to hide that winter poundage and looks great in brown.been out all winter in it with just a long sleeve base layer of varying thickness and good from --2 celsius with wind-chill bringing it down to more like-8 up to spring like 10° where it starts to get a bit sweaty.

Concern re Winter jacket
I recently purchased the Gore -Tex winter jacket and I'm very happy with its performance with one exception - the zip split open. I was able to fix it myself and it has performed well since. However, that was after about 6 times wearing the jacket and only 2 times since I fixed it. I'm concerned that it'll happen again.

Great winter jacket
Comfortable and effective this jacket has a nice tight fit - it does not flap around. It is high viz - ideal for those dark nights and has plenty of pockets. It is highly waterproof with good cuffs and a comfortable fit around rhe neck. It is uninsulated but if you wear a cycling top below ot you will be warm enough.

Cold weather comfort
Fit: though getting the right size around the chest and arms it Seemed way too baggy round the belly initially, but then I found that this does help it comfortably go over a jersey with stuff in pockets underneath it, which I sort of need as the two big pockets on this are not enough on their own. In typical British winter weather; cold, windy and unpredictably wet, it performs brilliantly. It has some warmth to it and is totally wind proof and so far has held up well against showers and drizzle with zero water ingress and it breathes better than I expected. I’ve not used it in constant heavy downpours and as that’s not what it’s designed for I imagine it would only last so long before letting some water in. One star off for the zip which is a little small for cold hands and the bottom opens of its own accord if fitted over too stuffed jersey pockets. Otherwise it really is lovely bit of kit. Feels luxurious and looks spiffing. Got mine in red. Love the cut and colour.

Great jacket but tight chest
The jacket is versatile and definitely wind / waterproof my only criticism is the chest sizing, having owned numerous Rapha XXL items this is tighter, the 2 chest pockets (when cycling) make it look like you have huge Moobs!! very unflattering indeed, arm lengths great, hard to wear more than a vest underneath.

Highly recommend
Well designed and when properly worn with merino wool long sleeve base layer, classic winter tights and insulated gilet, the cold and elements don’t stand a chance of discouraging your winter ride. Rode in single digit temperatures with appropriate head, hand and foot protection without any issues.

Great Shell Garment
Great Shell jacket. I run with different layers depending on temperature. Breathes quite ok, but do not expect to be dry on the inside. I have used it in light rain, heavy wind and 0 degree Celsius. Also like the pockets, the bright color and reflective patches. The pockets are deep and plentiful.

Outstanding Jacket
One of the best, if not the best, pieces of cycling clothing I have bought. I have found it showerproof and breathable. The cuffs and storm cuffs allows you to wear gloves either inside or outside the jacket and there is enough room to layer up. Great bit of kit, especially at sale price!

Great jacket if a little too snug
A great jacket for colder damp days. The fit is fine although I now fit a small as a medium is too big and I haven't changed in size over the past 40 years. If you wear a Garmin Instinct or similar largish watch the sleeve a just a wee bit too snug and it's difficult to access the watch.

Definitely worth the investment
Based on the cost I had HIGH hopes for this jacket. It really was worth the investment. It allows me to now stay on the road in comfort for many more weeks. Provides some serious wind protection, and thereby warmth without overheating. An amazing and beautifully constructed jacket.

Excellent winter jacket.
Pleased with this. Well constructed, cannot fault the assembly or zips. Size and shape are as per description. Nice to handle, but beware that the orange version marks up very easily and is difficult to clean. Quite significant insulating effect, best for 10 deg C or below.

Lightweight, Warm, Wind/Waterproof and Stylish.
When the jacket first arrived I was sceptical it would keep me warm as it was so thin but that worry soon disappeared on the first ride. The jacket is superb, gives you plenty of movement for gravel riding, is warm, waterproof and looks stylish. It’s now my “Go To” jacket.

Excellent winter jacket.
Excellent winter jacket. Robust & protective. Found it to be pretty waterproof though not worn it in hours long persistent rain yet. Very breathable for this type of jacket. Very slightly brushed inner makes a surprising difference to the amount of warmth it offers.

Stunning protection
Bought this just as the 2022 cold snap hit the uk. Felt great with only 2 layers below. Everything then melted and it began to rain. Still felt awesome. Nice stretchy cuffs inside keep rain and draughts out nicely. Nice and visible for London drivers too.

Perfect Fall/Winter shell
This jacket is a perfect top layer for a cold windy day. The GoreTex cuts the wind and makes the ride so much better. The fit is like most other classic products, very comfortable while on the bike. And a great looking piece, one of my favorites...

Expensive but an incredible product
Great product . Runs small - I normally wear medium but returned for a large, which fits perfectly. Quality is top notch. I live in MA and ride all year long on the road - wear the right layers underneath and this jacket is good to 20 degrees.

Great jacket
This is great, totally wind and water resistant. Classic fit allows good layering on really cold days, the two rear pockets mean you can keep food handy. The two front pockets also double as vents if the rain stops and the temperature rises.

I’ve worn this jacket as the outside layer on 27F rides in Minnesota and it has performed exceptionally well. Both warm and wind protective; the orange color, is perfect for low light early morning rides. Fit and quality seem first class.

Perfect for cold and rainy day
Was considering for a while if to have this jacket. But I have it now and I am very satisfied as it is perfect to wear in cold and rainy autumn period. Went for the orange coloured one to have some visibility during the dark hours rides.
