Merino Blue Short
Great base layer, fits well and good body temperature regulation.
About to place an order for the long sleeve version.
Highly recommend this garment.

Brilliant
Brilliant garment - super-comfortable, keeps you warm but never sweaty. Consider buying a size larger than your usual - works best for me.

great … but don’t hold up over time
I wear one of these under my kit every day. They are awesome when new… but they don’t hold up over time and they’re expensive to replace.

great warm underwear
It's a very nice underwear that keeps you very warm. You notice the 100% Merino wool quality. It can also expel sweat during activity.

Men's Merino Base Layer - Short Sleeve
I wear this under my Gore-Tex jacket and is perfect. It allows my body to breathe and not over heat during my long or short cycles.

The base layer you should have had already.
I was amazed when the base layer arrived! The quality is great, and keeps your body warm and protected. Totally recommended!

Thumbs up. Runs large
Works great. Was very glad to have read a review recommending getting a full size smaller than usual. That was good advice.

wool > poly
I'm a big fan of 100% merino layers, and my only wish is that they'd put some pockets on the back and call it a jersey.

Outstanding Comfort and Performance
I've been using this base layer cycling (gravel, mtb, road), trail running and hiking in temperatures ranging from -5c to 15c and am impressed by the comfort (not at all itchy), fit and performance (temperature and moisture management). Even after sweaty multiday hikes without washing the shirt is essentially as fresh as when the trip starts. While the shirt is unquestionably more comfortable as it ages, like merino wool in general, it is great right from the start too.

Baselayer
I was a bit sceptical about the premium price for this garment, but now I’ve worn it for the last month I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another, the colour is nice as is the feel, sizing is a bit off I’d say, so you may want to size down a size, I’m usually a large most Rapha products but went on previous reviews saying it comes up large.
It’s kept it’s shape really well after around ten wash cycles.
Most of all it’s really comfortable and does exactly what it’s meant to do.

My new favorite
Was worried that wool might be too warm, but it’s not. Wicks sweat super well. Keeping you cool in summer

Fantastic garment that does a great job of wicking the sweat away. Anything else is a false economy.

Getting expensive
Over the years this is my go to item, however, the £10 increase in this last purchase is a bit much

So soft you wouldn't guess it was wool.
Great merino base layer to be worn under long or short sleeve jerseys. Great feel and comfort. Overall the size runs a bit large. Normally I wear Medium across the board for Rapha, but due to the stretch in the merino I ended up going with a Small for this item. Only wish was that the sleeves had some sort of sticky or material to prevent them from riding up the arms.

The best shirt you can have in cold conditions
I cycled a 110 km ride in rather chilly conditions earlier in the (Finnish) summer. I first had a normal cycling jersey but I got cold and a friend of mine borrowed his merino base layer short sleeve shirt. I was gobsmacked. The stayed dry, it kept me warm and didn't stink at the end.
I ordered one for myself and tbh I don't think I will ever cycle without one of these shirts in colder temperatures ever again. A very warm (literally) recommendation.

A ideal commuter/synthetic baselayer alternative
I’ve been using these base layers for a number of rears to great effect.
They’ll be able to be used for a number of days without the usual aromatic effect you get with typical synthetic layer. The still perform to a high level that you want from a baselayer too.
You may get little holes in the odd area but these haven’t grown in size.
Overall, a top piece of kit `I always strap first when I’m riding

A must have base layer
I've been wanting to purchase this shirt for a while and finally did it. I'm actually using it for an external gravel shirt. It's soft and tight/snug fitting . . . just the way I like it. This Fall/Winter it will be a perfect base layer. I'm 5'9" 170 lbs and generally wear a Rapha Large Shirt. Some of the reviews were unclear about the sizing, but I decided on a Larger = it's Perfect.

Best Merino base out there
This is an outstanding piece of kit almost “too nice for biking”! The fabric is super soft, no itching whatsoever, fit is great (I wear size M, 183cm and 81kgs). I have several of Rapha’s Merino products and they are all virtually indestructible so I have no doubt that this T-shirt will last a long time. Not cheap, however, this is as good a Merino product as you’ll find anywhere.

Merino BL
I now own 5 of these. Go to base layer for running, cycling, hiking and winter sports. The oldest one is now 4 or so years old and has been through the wash with regular laundry detergent and it is still soft and it still dries surprisingly quickly.
Was afraid newer iterations of the product would suffer on the quality side, was I wrong!
High price point but so worth it

First thing on for every ride.
Very comfortable for all types of weather. Feels like a second skin. I now wear one for every ride regardless of whether it’s hot and humid or cold. My only complaints would be the limited colors and the price- if Rapha ever decided to do a “six-pack” offer, I’d be thrilled. If you like a snug fit with this you can get away with sizing down, however it’s not necessary.

Love these layers...
Love these layers. I have a few and they're perfect for equally cold and hot days. Keeps me dry in both climates, they are airy and durable. One of my shirts I've had for at least 5 or 6 years and its still in great condition. Picked up another one recently in a different color. One of those types of shirts for biking where more than 1 is a good idea.

Dry and comfortable
Wearing the merino base layer for 3 long distance rides (300/ 600/ 200km) in June and early July the temperature range from below 10 degrees at mid night, and 30 degrees in last Sunday. The base layer keep me dry even up to 30 degree or having Goretex jacket cover. I am surely to buy Raphael Merino for future long distance ride use.

Excellent!
I just love these, I'm sucker for new colors and even if they only came in black and gray I'd probably have several. They're very useful cycling, as they should be, but also very comfortable and useful off the bike. The merino fabric is amazing and I often finish a ride and leave this base layer on as I take care of things afterward.

Big Fan!
This is another great Merino product. I do wish that I would have sized down on this garment; for some reason I believe I could have worn a size smaller than I normally do in Rapha. I have the long sleeve version of this as well and really enjoy both. I have worn this under a winter jersey in sub freezing temps and been toasty.

I'm now a big believer of the merino wool material
This is my first merino wool base layer and quickly became my go to base layer for temperature ranging from 40 - 75. I got it for 50% off and it delivered such a tremendous value. Pairing it with the Rapha Brevet Merino Wool jersey, I feel like I can handle a huge swing of temperature in a long gravel ride. Highly recommended!

The Best Tee Shirt Ever!
These Merino Base Layers and the best tee shirt I've ever owned. Because the Women's version doesn't come in crew neck, I have purchased a couple of Men's tees in both short and long sleeved so that I have both crew and V-neck styles. These are wonderful tee shirts and I wear them for everything - on and off the bike.

A variety of uses.
I have experimented with wool and mesh base layers this summer. They are very effective at moderating temperature when you have a mixture of cool and hot temps during the same ride. This layer is especially effective at wicking sweat to keep comfortable and cool. Obviously the merino is perfect for fall and winter.
