Great all round bib shorts.
Good quality materials. Nicely manufactured. Tried on a few different styles of Rapha bib shorts and these were the only ones that fitted well. “Josh is 6’1” tall and is wearing a size small” Really! Come on Rapha, do some market research and make bib shorts for the masses. I’m 5’6” 63kg and I see myself as a size S-M. Really like your kit and styles, but not keen on your sizing philosophy. Make kit for the masses please. Not just the Hugh Carthy Pro cyclists. Stop the heightism please!

Fred’s first bibs
Being relatively new to this type of cycling I don’t have much to compare these bibs to besides some commuter pants, so keep that in mind. That being said, these things have performed just as advertised. I followed Rapha’s size chart and grabbed the medium size and it fits me perfectly (5’10” and 175lbs). Pretty comfy on 40-50 mile rides and the pockets are a useful addition if you’re like me and don’t wear a jersey for every outing. My only gripes are that the chamois could be a little longer in the front and the shoulder straps run a little wider than I’d like. Other than that these have kept me cool enough on hot days and even survived some hike-a-bike through thick brush on a backpacking overnighter. Would buy again.

Good for 3-6 months
I love how these fit and feel when they are new, but they do not last very long if you’re riding a lot. I’m usually somewhere around 10 hours a week, I have several pairs of these shorts and they really wear out. In fact, all three are warn out. They are stretching and showing signs of wear even though I air dry and machine wash at the recommended temp. Unfortunately I won’t be buying these anymore.

Good, but could be better.
The shoulder straps are not that well ventilated and they pull on my shoulders when I ride. They should be made of a stretchier mesh fabric. I’m 5’10 165lbs wearing a size medium. The size chart recommended a small, but that was way too small for me. Some of the seams are not stitched flat for some reason. There’s too much fabric around the waist, it feels constrictive and hot. At one point on the waist there’s considerable overlap of fabric and it feels like there’s a waistband, which kind of defeats the purpose of bibs. The boys get smooshed. Really the chamois is good. It’s the only thing saving these shorts from the trash bin.

I use these bibs on long rides (century++) to maximize my comfort. I like wearing more relaxed clothing, and these shorts allow me to carry more comfortably. I can also carry more food (like a burger)

Core + cargo pockets = the only shorts you need
The Core range is like Waitrose essentials - you cant go wrong.
The cargo pockets themselves are the *only innovation I have seen in cycling for years and once you have found yourself popping your phone or your Gillet in there mindlessly then your other shorts are done for.
Why only 4 stars? - Rapha's fit can be hit and miss for me; ordering M, L & XL is tiresome as each item is different. I am 193cm (6'4") 82Kg with long legs and I think the XL cargo bibs are great.

Worst chamois I've ever tried
This was my first pair of Rapha bibs but have used several brands in the past. I bought these online and regret it because I wouldn't be out ~$100.
These bibs have the absolute worst chamois and design I've ever worn. The chamois is huge, wraps from your cheeks to the front of your pelvis and get in the way. It feels low quality, is super squishy to the point of being mushy and to top it off has a GIANT seam running down the middle of the chamois.
Do you like having the spine of a book shoved up your tender bits? If you answered yes, these are for you. If that was a no, move along. Try a better brand that pays attention to the seams and design.
One last thought, the internal seams are enormous. They stick out an absurd amount and rub like crazy.

Best bibs shorts for the money!
I’m 6’5” and weight 239 LBS male, bibs size XXL. I have tried so many bibs at this price range and was never satisfied. My local bike shop had one pair of the cargo and I gave it a try. These were great on my rides. I’m a roadie and I ride a lot of miles. I liked them so much I purchased them directly from Rapha as my bike shop was out of stock. I have 2 pairs now and I’m most likely going to buy a third pair. The quality of the stitching and padding is far superior than the rest for this price range. I have absolutely NO SADDLE discomfort. Plus it’s kind of handy having side pockets on my shorts for whatever and they look cool. I have the black with black straps. Try them, you won’t be disappointed!

Great quality, but don't buy if not short
I had always heard high reports of Rapha. I tended to stay away from them as they generally were in dark colours and I wish cars to see me.
A short friend recommended these leggings, mainly as they had pockets the leg, perfect for adventure racing/MTBO and keeping the checkpoints descriptions in.
However, although width wise and length in leg they fit well, they were short on the body. Normally these tend to stretch, but in this case they haven't.
I know in general people have become fatter, but please Rapha, some cyclists are athletically lean (and I don't mean TdF skinny either)

All the Bib I Need
Love these bibs! They disappear when I am on the bike and they feel like an extension of my body.
I think they look great, feel great, and I love the thigh pockets!
Bibs are a personal thing: we aren't shaped the same. I am 6'2" (188cm) and weigh 190 lbs (86kg) with a 33" (84cm) inseam. I ordered a Medium and they fit me with a comfortable compression. If you want a less-compressive fit or have a longer torso, I'd step up a size if you are on the upper limits or between sizes.

Poor stitching holding chamois
Seems good quality but unfortunately the stitching that holds the chamois in place comes undone after a couple of rides. I have had another pair send to me and exactly the same thing has happened. Great customer service but this is frustrating.

I didn't do Rapha
'Rapha? No chance, have you seen the price?' That was me before purchasing the Men's Core Bib Shorts. After, literally, months of looking for a new pair of Shorts, with pockets, I finally took the plunge and 'splashed out' on these. To be fair it was the £100 price tag which swayed me - still more expensive than I have usually spent but not a million miles away. I thought, give them a go and see whether the price tag and hype are true. Well, they sure do. Great quality, great fit and you can really see and feel the difference to the cheaper alternatives that I already owned. They are so good I've bought a second pair.

Great materials but tight vertical fit long torso
The materials and design are very good, but the sizing does not fit my personal proportions. I have a Medium and am 170cm tall with short legs and longer torso and the bibs are uncomfortably tight in my crotch with quite a bit of pressure against my family jewels. Will probably not use them for longer rides.

Perfect shorts for every ride
Great shorts. Nice soft feel on the skin with plenty of padding in the shammy. I’ve had them
A couple of months now and every ride in them has been a pleasure. They wash well and don’t appear to have lost any comfort.
Oh and the pockets, nearly forgot the pockets. So useful and and keep everything close. I was worried about flappage and rattling around but no. None I mainly use them for phone and gels. Perfect for if you’re not feeling a jersey and want a casual ride in shorts and t shirt round town.
I’m 5’11” 76kg and ordered a medium size. Fit is pretty much perfect.

Mostly happy
Excellent quality. As you’d expect from Rapha. Thanks to a sale, the price was very fair. Really love the extra storage space, particularly using the thigh pocket for my phone. I genuinely didn’t notice the phone was there and it’s far more accessible than putting it in a jersey back pocket. I’ve taken one star off as I’m still making my mind up about the comfort of the pad. Fine for a couple of hours but after a six hour ride last weekend “things” were a bit more bashed than I’d have wished. But in fairness to the shorts I’m still “getting to know them”. Also there was a bit of what I can only call “saddle squeak” in warm weather. But overall, I’m pleased with the purchase

Pad is super comfy...but not?
These bibs are basic but well made. With all of the great reviews of the pad, I was a little shocked after my first ride. The pad is split with a seam longitudinally unlike any pad that I have owned. The pad was indeed comfortable but had a tendency to give me "wedgie". After the 1st ride it was bad enough that I was close to concluding that they were a "bust". But considering that there were "Rapha" and apparently loved by many, I persevered and found that after a few weeks with corresponding washes the fit and feeling improved significantly. I had been eying the Core tights for winter fat bike riding but I am still not yet completely convinced about the design of the pad. It is super comfy, but the design that inherently is susceptible to the "wedgie" effect is somewhat questionable.

cargo pockets ripped
i wore these twice and the cargo pocket (mesh fabric) is already ripped. these don't hold up like other rapha products. also, i would not recommend getting the white straps as the neckline is already stained from sunscreen. i'm really bummed, because i like the navy fabric of these more than the other, more expensive, cargo bibs. I also have those and that softer fabric bunches in an unflattering way.

Outstanding but with a caveat concerning quality
I ordered size XL (189cm/88kg). These are my go-to do everything bibs (Road, MTB, Gravel). The fit is superb which stands in contrast to many other Rapha bibs where the leg grip is way too loose (that is you Pro Team II bibs). The pockets are fantastic and supportive of items such as a phone and wallet. I have been through 4/5 pairs of these over the past 2/3 years. I would raise concern with the recent versions which seem to have suffered a drop in quality around the inner-pad seam. My last two pairs have come apart after as few as 10 rides under normal conditions. If Rapha can keep the quality of production up as per the originals these are then perhaps the greatest bibs ever for the rider who wants style, versatility, and performance.

Absolutely fantastic...if you don't have a chest.
Great bib shorts. I have them in L size. The pockets are fantastic, really useful on long rides. I would have given them a 5 but the straps are a bit tight around the chest area. I also have the Classic Bib Shorts in L and the straps are perfect. All of my rapha jerseys are also L and I have never had any problems. So, if you are a cyclist who also has a chest, consider getting the Classics (much more stretch in the material).
Despite the straps though, brilliant. These will be my go to for all of my autumn/spring rides. The material is probably a bit too thick for the hot, humid Japanese summers.

Quality Doesn't Hold Up
Rode about 150 comfortable miles in these before they developed a hole in the leg portion. They have only ever been washed cold, in a mesh laundry bag. The material is very soft and thin. I have bibs that I've ridden much harder in, and in worst conditions that have held up much better. They're all washed in the same way. The Core Bib just seems to be of poorer quality. The padding is sufficient and I love having extra pockets.

Who knew I needed bibs with pockets?
A great, well priced set of bibs that provide all day comfort. Love the side and rear cargo pockets as they allow for extra storage during a long ride and allow me to carry when wearing non-pocketed shirts. The fit is snug in all the right places and the chamois stays in place and provides just the right amount of cushioning. The legs are a little long for me and can come down to the bend in my knee but do stay up if pulled up out of the way. Would be nice for a reg/long and short leg version so as to fit a wider range of riders.

Strap Length and Chamois
I'm 6ft4in tall and bought the XL. I question whether I should have purchased the XXL. I like a snug compression fit, but these are just on the edge of feeling a hair short in the shoulder straps. The chamois is good, not the densest foam, but it keeps me comfortable enough. Overall, for the price this is a quality purchase.

Comfortable shorts but need leg length options
I've always bought Assos coz shorts are not something you change lightly if the ones you're used to are comfortable. However, I saw a friend with these and was impressed by the side storage pockets and rear storage slots which are ideal for phone and wallet. Surprisingly the phone in the side pocket is not a problem and I don't notice it's there but it's very handy. The only thing I'm not liking is the leg length which for me, who is vertically challenged, is too long. Leg length options would be good. As for as comfort they are equal, if not better, to my Assos ones so no complaints there.

After first use a good experience
After first use a good experience. Fits good and the pad stays good in place of this XL one. For longer trips its handy to have some food or little map in the sidepocket. What i mis in all shorts is a piece of comfortable fabric to protect your pubic area above the pad. In cold times i missed that protection in the core winter tights. And in summer in the shorts to keep sweat away of this area and keep swaet spots hidden. You will find this piece of fabric in other top trademarks and thats why I miss this now a bit.

extra extra pockets
The Cargo Bib shorts is a good addition to my Bike Bibs, the extra leg pockets lets me carry other stuff like my action cam and gilet, and its easy to access as well. The location of the pockets at the back are not as accessible to be though, they are placed a tad too high and its hard to reach. Overall I like it since it lets me go on rides wearing just a technical shirt instead of a bike jersey.

POCKETS! Bibs… with POCKETS!!!
Well these beauties are ace.
Always loved my Rapha Pro Team bibs until they changed the lengths.
I prefer bibs to sit a few inches above my knees and the shorter length ones were still too long.
These however are bang on.
Superb fit, ace chamois and the pockets are great- chuck a baggy tech T on and you still have all the usability of a normal pair of bibs, stick them on for a road ride and you have quadruple the amount of storage.
Unless you’re a racer or time trialist then I dunno why anyone wouldn’t want more storage!
10/10. My go to shorts for gravel and road.
Brilliant.

Good addition to the wardrobe
I've worn these on a few longer rides and like the cargo pocket idea, although I have forgotten them a couple of rides! Perfect for the phone and couple of gels; and unloading jersey pockets. Overall short quality is good. The legs run long, maybe to accommodate the cargo pockets. Liner is good - fit is a bit smaller than the classic short and core short. I wear a medium in classic or core but need a large in the cargo version, since the legs seem tighter. A good addition to the wardrobe.
