Great vest but poor zipper quality.
The vest is great. Fits great, mesh back makes it super breathable and isolate well from the wind. BUT within a month both of the plastic thingy on the two zippers broke while zipping up the which makes it pretty hard to zipp up now…

Shoulder part very bad
It's quite badly made on the shoulders as it flaps a lot in the wind. Otherwise it would be good but it runs very small.

Great garment let down my poor quality zip puller
Great gilet in terms of fit and quality. Mesh back allows for great ventilation. But the lower zip snapped off after just 2 months whilst sitting at a cafe. As a result, I’d avoid buying until they can fix this. I have the previous version of this gilet and it suffered the same fate. Really disappointed.

Flappy
Unlike any other cycling jersey/gilet/jacket I've ever owned the material behind the shoulders is cut kind of loose. Trying it on feels fine, when the speed goes above 25kmh it buzzes and flaps. Kind of annoying for what is not a cheap item. Maybe they thought everyone rides round in an extreme tuck or something. The double zip is a nice idea but makes it harder to zip back up if you unzip on a warm climb.

Unusual Updates on a Rapha Classic
A history lesson on the PT Gilet.
The PT lightweight gilet is a bit of a classic at this point, I have used the first two extensively and the new one since it’s release.
The original single zipped version is the best in my opinion, it’s super simple and I have used mine for 5 or so fault free years. It doesn’t need a double zip as you can pull it up easily to access your pockets. The simplest things are often the best...
The second version has the same fit as the OG and would be perfect if the double zip didn’t rip bibs and if the lazer cut design at the neck didn’t delaminate and jam the zip up.
The third version could have been perfect if it was just an evolution of the second, but it’s not and has some weird changes. The fit in the neck and shoulders is great, the lower body probably has the same cut but feels restrictive as the lower hem is deeper and less stretchy. The deeper lower hem also doesn’t sit below full jersey pockets on some same size Pro Team jerseys which is an odd design oversight. The placket and lower hem are extended to protect bibs, but the placket is formless and gets in the way when you are trying to zip it up which is super frustrating with cold hands or when descending. The lower zip also doesn't lock on mine at least and requires constant readjustment.
On the whole this isn’t an improvement on the previous version and isn’t nearly as good as the first. It’s a missed opportunity for a perfect product in this Rapha nerd’s opinion.
For reference i’m 6ft and 72kg, I wear a small in all PT garments

Nice improvement on the front, rear needs a change
The new iteration of the lightweight gilet fits better on the front, however, the thick rear gripper adds bulk and is relatively rigid in comparison to the rest of the gilet. This accentuates 2 things, the first is the size it packs down to and the second, is the gripper (depending on where it sits on your back) may not sit flush/contour to your body hence protruding like a mud flap instead

Almost great
Super packable and lightweight. Also predictable fit. Unfortunately there seems to be a bit of extra fabric around the shoulders that create some annoying flopping sound when at speed or downhill. Otherwise this is a great piece of gear and would def buy again. Not perfect but few things are.

Pro Team Lightweight Gilet - Great Performance
Really lightweight gilet yet very warm as an extra layer under a jacket in winter or for keeping the body warm in Spring & Autumn. It has a really breathable back panel so you don't sweat in this compared to the insulated version. You will easily be able to fit this gilet into the back pocket of your jersey. The Pro Team cut is exceptional. I am a medium in Rapha jerseys but I had to size up to large for this gilet. The fit is really tight. Top quality gilet.

Happy when cycling from
Stylish gilet but needs a beefier zipper pull
Love the blue color and the fit of the Pro Team Lightweight Gilet. There is wind flapping if you don’t zip all the way up but it’s not bad, IMO. When fully zipped up, I don’t notice any wind flapping around the shoulders unless I’m riding over 30 mph. I was really bummed though, when the bottom zipper pull broke after just 3 rides. I thought I would have to send the gilet back to Rapha to remedy the broken zipper pull but Rapha customer service sent a voucher for a free replacement instead. That is top notch customer service. The bottom zipper pull is on the flimsy side so instead of using the voucher to purchase another gilet where the bottom zipper pull would probably break again, I used the voucher for a Core kit instead, paying the difference and attached a cable tie to the broken zipper pull on the gilet so I can still use it.

Excellent vest for a cool morning
Top notch cut and performance (the double zipper is clutch to ease access to the jersey pockets). Material feels durable, yet lightweight.
The only negative is that the edges on the shoulders flap around a bit when at speed and make some noise.

Great gilet!
Nice gilet, great styling, mesh back makes this great for cooler summer days. Nice close fit. Sizing is spot on with other Rapha kit. Shoulders flap a bit on descents but can live with that! Packs super small into jersey pocket.

great layer for windy weather
I bought this gilet to go with my Summer gear. It fits tightly over my jerseys, and stays in place during my rides. It is perfect for windy weather between 14-20 C. I am 175 cm and 66 kg, size S was perfect.

Not a fan of the double zipper / opens up by itsel
Not a fan of the double zipper, when leaning down to get aero it opens up by itself and it’s a pain to close it. It fits perfect and it’s awesome but I would not buy it again due to that reason.

Gilet with one flaw
Ok Gilet, but the arm openings are too large resulting in a flapping / non-tight fit, which creates noise and turbulence at plus 30 k speeds - the same size rain gilet does not have this issue

Good piece of kit
Overall a good execution of a windproof vest/gilet. Unlike so many others, it has a 2-way zipper which I consider absolutely essential on a garment like this where one might want to open from the bottom for venting on a climb, but keep the top zip up higher. In terms of fit, I find this comes up on the snug side at the waist. I have an older version of this gilet in a team version, and it has a more flexible lower band compared to this one. In the older version I have a size L and based on its fit I ordered a M in this version and the fit for me at 183 cm and 77 kg is very very snug. It is good for cool summer mornings over just a jersey, but I would not be able to use it over a looser fitting winter jersey, definitely need size L.

Good quality, flappy in the wind
Nice styling, good quality zip (better than other Rapha gilets I’ve had). Very flappy on top of the shoulders, especially when pushing on, hence the docking of 1 star

Excellent cool weather vest
This is my fifth Rapha piece - all have been from classic or core line (all size large). I am 6 ft 176 lbs - 41inch chest 33 inch waist. I have used five times in temperatures from low 50s to low 60s. Have worth over Rapha Core Long Sleeve Jersey, Rapha Classic Jersey and a race fit short sleeve jersey. The fit is snug but not too tight-vest fits better in riding position. There was little flapping at speed. The double zippers made it easy to access jersey pockets. Vest packs away nicely in jersey pocket. Very satisfied with purchase.

Great
An excellent solution for Central European evenings in August and September, when the sun starts to set after five o'clock in the afternoon and it slowly cools down, or the wind starts blowing. No sweaty back like with the Core Gilet. It takes up no space in your jersey pocket and weighs nothing. I am very satisfied.

Super useful piece of kit that packs well
A nice vest to have in your repertoire. Packs super small and easy to toss in a jersey. Quality, material, and finish are all really nice. At 6ft and 160lbs I had to do a size Large vs my normal medium. The chest is quite tight but I also have a very athletic (read V) build.
Only knock is that for me (like some others) I get just a bit of flap at the top of the shoulder. Not enough to slow you down but right by your ears which in heavy winds can be slightly annoying. Don't notice this at lower speeds or less wind though.

An improvement, with flaws
Same great quality and attention to detail as is usual with Rapha products. The gilet is the same snug fit as the previous version. Some of the finishing details are an improvement over the previous version, such as the bonded tape over the inside seams. The mesh on the rear is finer, though i can't imagine this will affect performance too much. The mesh on the inside of the collar has been replaced by the same fabric as the gilet front body. The elasticated arm holes are a nice touch.
Unfortunately where the gilet is let down is with the zip, firstly the bottom unzips slightly while riding which makes it fiddly to undo on climbs, and the flap on the inside that runs the length of the zip is less rigid than the previous version, which makes it trickier to zip back up on the move. I'd like to see it stiffened up a bit at the bottom of the zip.
I would also like to see an opening on the mesh at the back to access jersey pockets, similar to the Gobik gilets.

Very light weight and protects from cold
A very lightweight gilet but still performs exceptionally well. Great for slightly chilly days and keeps you warm without overheating. It is very fitted so make sure you get the right size. I wear jersey sizes small and medium depending on the jersey. I bought this in medium and I could not go small in this.

Almost...
Came up just short. The material around the arm opening as the front was too stiff and didn't sit against my chest no mater what position I was in. It created a gap that let wind in so I ended up returning it. It could have been this vest as I have other colors that didn't do it.
