Bang for the buck cargo bib
I both have Rapha's cargo bib - the $115 Core and $270 Cargo. Biggest difference between the 2 is the quality of material used. Obviously the Cargo has better material and details are really nice compared to the minimalistic Core. Built is the same meaning I never have problems with snags, thread runs and rips. I am not sensitive with the chamois too, but on paper the Cargo has better Chamois/padding.
For tight budget and function, you can't go wrong with the Core Cargo bib. The fit is a tad bigger than Cargo which is perfect for me. For sizing reference, I am 5'7" athletic build with thick thighs for doing CrossFit and weight lifting. Small fits me perfectly! And much better fit than my Cargo which hugs or more aero than Core which are both small. I sized my bibs according to height instead of waist and thighs.

Practical and good value
I'm very pleased with these bib shorts. The quality is good, the pockets in the side of the legs are such an obvious practical asset that you wonder why it's not standard practice, and the chamois is comfortable. If you're of slimmer build like me, then you may have to size down a little to get a good fit on the leg, which means a tighter fit of the straps around the shoulders. Trying them on, I was a little worried that they'd be too tight, but on the bike it's a non-issue. I have one or two more 'premium' shorts where the chamois just edges it in terms of long ride comfort, but these are more than adequate and, for the price, excellent. I'm planning on buying another pair, which is perhaps the best recommendation.

These are a game changer
Carry more stuff throughout your person and don't overload your rear jersey pockets. They don't feel as premium as PT bibs but the chamois is comfortable and for the price, they're good value. The material does go see-through eventually but this is after extensive use. More colours please Rapha.

Excellent Value, Excellent Fit
I've had 3 pairs of these now and they're quite comfortable at the price point they are hard to beat. I think there are some areas on the core series that could improve like between the thigh and waistband the material tends to stretch out and degrade quite quickly. This is less of a problem with the cargo bibs due to the small amount of extra material but I'd love to see some improvements on durability. Otherwise chamois is best in class, the leg grippers stay in place without suffocating your thighs and they run true to size. I will definitely pick up some more.

Do your bum a favor
Best investment I’ve made. It’s a pretty thick padding but extremely helpful for those long rides. Has pockets on the back as well as the sides. Padding too thick to do iron man’s in but great just for cycling!

Great cargo shorts - performs as you would expect
No issues with these bib shorts in the brief time that I’ve had them. They feel like very good quality and don’t ride up the thigh. My items feel very secure in the pockets.

Disappointed with Rapha's Customer Service: Refusa
I had a frustrating experience with Rapha's customer service regarding a repair request. As a loyal customer, I have always appreciated Rapha's message of offering a free repair service for their products in cases where damage is caused by accidents or general wear. However, my recent interaction has left me deeply disappointed.
I reached out to Rapha's customer service to request a repair for my garment, which had experienced wear in one part of the bibs. To my surprise and dismay, my repair request was flat-out refused, citing "general wear" as the reason for denial. This directly contradicts the company's own marketing message, which explicitly states that they offer repairs for products affected by general wear.
This refusal has left me feeling misled and let down by Rapha's customer service. I expected them to stand by their promises and provide the repair service they advertise on their website. Instead, I was met with an unsatisfactory response that did not align with their stated policies.
The lack of consistency between Rapha's marketing claims and their actual actions raises concerns about their integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. It is disheartening to see a company that prides itself on quality and customer care fall short when it comes to upholding their own repair policy.
I urge Rapha to reevaluate their customer service approach and ensure that their actions align with their marketing promises. As a customer, I believe in holding companies accountable for their commitments, and in this instance, Rapha has failed to meet those expectations. It is my hope that they take steps to rectify this issue and provide the repair service they advertise, even in cases of general wear.
Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied with Rapha's customer service and their refusal to honor their repair policy. This experience has tarnished my perception of the brand, and I am hesitant to continue supporting a company that fails to deliver on its promises.

Great fit/pockets but not good for long distance
I bought two pairs of these shorts specifically for the 1001Miglia starting 16/8/2021. I have only ever worn Rapha bib shorts for my audaxing, including PBP 2019 with no problems at all. They are fine for club rides but on a 600km training ride I got sores in the crutch area and on my backside. I have never experienced this before with Rapha shorts. The same starting happening again on a 240km ride two days ago. The fit is good and the pockets are great but unfortunately I can't risk wearing them on a 1,600km ride, which is a real disappointment.

Solid Cargo Bibs
Rapha strikes again. The Core Cargo Bibs, along with my other Cargo kit pieces, have become a consistent part of my on-bike apparel rotation. The quality, fit and comfort are exceptional for the price. I appreciate the cargo pockets, which stretch when needed, but lay flat and flush to my thighs when empty. I wear them on both gravel and road rides, and don't feel them to be too bulky for either. I am 6'4 and ~180lbs, and my mediums are definitely a "race fit"...the straps are somewhat tight when I'm standing off the bike, but in my riding position the comfort is great. The leg grippers stay in place and don't ride up, and the chamois pad has been comfortable on 5+ hour long rides. All in all, for this price point, the Cargo Core Bibs are beyond solid!

Solid cargo bibs
Though not quite perfect, these are my favourite bibs.
Pros: thickest and most comfortable chamois, legs and torso stays put whatever you throw at them, the thigh elastic band is comfortable and secure, durable construction pockets, they breathe well, flattering high rise strap base.
Cons: Straps roll and dig into my shoulders, thicker walls make this happen (straps from brands like Pedaled and Maap are the best imho)
I'm comparing them to Pedaled Odyssey cargos, Rapha classics and the basic Black Bibs. (Pedaled is a close second).

Great Bib's
Very nice bib and comfy as well!
The chamoise it's very good for long rides and the side pockets are big enought to hold some stuffs like, food, mobile phone, small water bottles...
The only thing i think that could be improved it's the leg grips! Are a bit longer and you have to pull the bibs with the grips on reverse side to easly set them on right place. For me it's not a problem but could be improved.
The rear pockets are great to hold some stuff that you don't need immediately access, like inner tubes, keys...
Worth the money

Great bib, but very slow shipping
This is my husband’s third pair of these bibs which we ordered to ensure having enough of his favorites for a multi day bike ride. Unfortunately, shipping was extremely slow and they did not arrive in time to take on the ride, which was most disappointing. 3-8 business day shipping time was advertised and it took 9-10 business days. Called the Rapha store in a panic-they were nice but not set up for shipping out of their store. They said shipping times online have become longer since Rapha moved their online store to the UK (!) and ship from there. Rapha may want to reevaluate the shipping times they promise to avoid such disappointment in the future .
So the bib gets five stars and the shipping experience gets one. Therefore average grade is four stars.

The perfect bibs
If you just started cycling and are overwhelmed and hunting for those bibs that aren’t going to leave you sore just stop and buy these.
These are the first pair of bibs / shorts I’ve used that haven’t left me with sore sit bones after going for a ride. The chamois really is perfect and provides so much support that even as a new rider I’m left feeling great after an hour + long ride.
My only qualm, and it’s not that big of a deal, is that I wish the front of the chamois went up a little bit higher and was a little thinner. The thickness at the front makes you put forth a little bit of effort to find the perfect placement for your goods, but it’s not a dealbreaker or that big of a deal I would still give these 5 stars and they’ve made me a Rapha customer for life.

Comfortable Cargo
I was hesitant at first mainly due to the cost but after several recommendations I decided to give them a go. At first they felt tight fitting, the sizing said small but opted for the mediums. I am 5'9 68kg if that helps anyone else with sizing. The first proper outing for a 10hr XC race in typical Scottish summer conditions. They were extremely comfortable throughout with no rubbing or chaffing and have since done another 10hr in the same bibs. The side pockets are great aswell for gels and bars. Highly recommended

Comfortable and practical
I bought these knicks for a tour across the Pyrenees. They performed very well, in rotation with a pair from another brand. I had many long days but no discomfort at all. I also had one small fall onto loose gravel going around the corner and there was no visible damage to the fabric. The pockets at the sides of the legs proved be very useful. Only one caution – it’s tempting to put your phone in there but if you do, make sure it’s in a case as the hip is the first thing that hit the ground if you do have a fall.

Sublime
Such great bibs. Really comfortable of course, but the extra pockets are awesome. When you don't need them - fine - they still work as great bibs. But for commuting, or a quick dash out on the bike without much planning on what you're taking, the pockets are ideal for snacks, (large) phone, keys, facemask(!) etc and don't ruin the line of what you're wearing. Plus, it means for super casual rides you can just throw on an large t-shirt and still be able to take things with you, which looks really nonchalant-cool.

Not for people with a long torso
These bibs are good for shorter distance rides 50 miles or less. They are also a little short in the torso. I found that at the 2 - 2 1/2 hour mark I was starting to get some hot spots and the start of some chaffing. If I am just out for a shorter ride they are comfortable and work well.

Worth the investment
First pair of Rapha Bibs. I think they fit true to size ( 185 - 190lbs about 6') I ordered a large. The compression and fit are solid. The suspenders are comfortable. Out of the box, I took them for a 165 mile ride across Joshua Tree National Park - I ordered a second pair.

Useful pockets, good quality and fit
Size Small fit me well, but on the snug side, 176cm 73kg, waist 82cm, hip 89cm.
Hard tested the cargo bibs at gran canaria for one week now. Love the pockets, they worked better thank expected, Iphone 14 and Gopro in each pocket was not noticeable when pedaling. Material is soft and of high equality. Padding is mor substantial than my other brand, but work very well. Lite bit warmer thank regular shorts due to double material on side and back (pockets). Happy with my purchase, for the price a great buy.

Fits well and versatile with pockets
I am 5'5" 145lbs and take a XS and they fit very well. The bibs after a dozen washes haven't lost any padding, pilled, peeled, and the silicone grippers really keep the thigh portion of the bib in place. Single chamois makes it so you don't look like you are wearing a diaper but also provide all day comfort. The cargo pockets are great utility wise but I question how the fine mesh will hold up over time. Only main qualm I have with these are the price, but other than that form fitting and comfortable

Mixed thoughts on first rapha experience
First pair arrived with some strange blemishes in the fabric around the lower back, had to exchange for a second pair.
Slow postage on both items but once arrived are a good fit and comfortable, let see how long they last. Mixed thoughts on my first rapha experience

Good but not perfect
Nice looking bibs but somehow it feels one step below the regular core bibs… the legs are longer and most of all the straps are just different and feel odd to me at least.. I do own 2 other regular core bibs and have no issue with those, not sure if I’ll buy again

Great bibs but the sizing is on the small side
These bibs are really comfy. The chamois is sewn in so that it curves around you and stays in place. These are without a doubt the nicest bibs I have worn. They prevent chaffing so well that I no longer need chamois cream. The sizing was bit off for me. The size guide had me as medium. I wear a medium in everything from all other brands. But the Rapha medium was way too small. The large fits great though. My advice is to order two sizes and return one. Thank goodness Rapha has a liberal return policy.

These are the most comfortable bib shorts I've ever worn. I've never been partial to any one brand but I will definitely be purchasing Rapha bibs from now on. They may be pricy compared to some brands but I'm a strong believer in you get what you pay for.

Great bib shorts
Excellent bib shorts that have convenient and very useful pockets. A great place to put my phone and gels on longer rides leaving the jersey pockets for bulkier items like gilet and gloves. I like the compression and would say the shorts are true to the size guide, but think the shoulder straps could be maybe 1inch longer for my build. I'm 6'2", 78kg and wearing a medium. I recommend these shorts for anyone on a longer ride or in changing conditions where you may want to bring along some extra kit.
