Great pack for weeknight shreds
Pack would get 5 stars if not for two things: 1) water bottle holders are too small to really be functional, and 2) would be useful to have a better way to secure things in the main compartment, such as a cinchable strap or a divider. I have been riding with a pump/toolkit, folding saw, dart, keys, and smartphone -- I often add a vest just to keep the pump and saw from bouncing around on the smartphone, but a divider would avoid that problem. Note that the small compartment is too small for an iphone 7, which is on the small end of smartphones. How many times should I say smartphone? Anyway, otherwise it's a great pack! Holds very secure when bombing technical trails! Easy to get on/off and tighten up! Looks great! Time will tell on the reliability front but the materials look to be top notch.

(un)Pleasantly Surprised
Look, I really wanted to hate this bag. I, like many others in the MTB scene, were not exactly stoked to see Rapha make an entrance into this space. In my personal view, Rapha has always been synonymous with the lycra clad group that rides slow but likes to look good while they do it in their overpriced kit. I say this only to say that I am as big of a Rapha critic as any.
I gave this bag a shot because of the lashing on the top of the bag allowing for easy storage of an additional layer or two, which is a must have in the PNW shoulder seasons. There are some other brands out there that have that feature, but for some reason, very very few.
After a few rides, I must admit, I find this to be the most comfortable hip pack I have ever worn. I had to reach down several times on my first ride to check to see if it was still there. The fit and finish is on point, the price is more competitive than many other brands, and the comfort is unmatched. Now I find myself, regrettably, strolling through Rapha's site looking at other bits of MTB kit. *facepalm*
The only concern I still have is security of water bottles in this pack. So far no issue at all, but it's only been a few rides and I have yet to take it down some proper gnar.

Great looks and quality, few design improvements
Great style, love that it can carry two bottles. Nice quality zippers and materials used. Biggest reason I gave it 3 instead of more stars is the bottle holders are nearly impossible to get a bottle in while riding. I have to stop to get them back in. Also, the front pocket is only good for keys because it's small to access (needs a bigger opening). And when it's around your waist, it's tight to get into.

Great, high quality hip pack
This is a great hip pack. It does not move around on my back at all like other packs I have used. I love how you can tighten it down. I also love the front pocket which is perfect for my phone. The only thing to note is that it isn’t easy to tighten the waist strap on the go. It does not come loose but if you are someone that likes to tighten it or adjust it while riding, you might find it a little annoying. I would do that with my last pack so it took be a little get used to just setting it and then not adjusting it.

Good enough
Decent mid-size pack. Bottle pockets hold bottles tightly, which is good, but you can't easily replace a bottle while riding. I simply rotate bottles from my bike to the pack as I use up the one in my bottle cage. It needs better attachment points for pads, as the stretch cord works for jackets; please add lashing straps.

Handy for essentials.
I found the hip pack ideal for essentials that I might need quickly. The first ride I did was 70 miles and I had to keep feeling for the bag that was still there. It didn't feel cumbersome with a few items inside and was quite comfortable. Feels well made with solid buckles and clips. Pleased with my purchase.

Rapha Hip Pack - Awesome
As a professional MTB Guide and Skills Coach U use my bike equipment almost every day and it has to be comfy, tough and functional and this hip pack meets all those needs even when fully loaded with gear and two water bottles.

A very practical and comfortable hip pack
I finally got to use it yesterday. I rode an e-MTB on Big Bear Lake Skyline trail. I’ve put in 23 miles on it. The hip pack was not intrusive and felt much better than a backpack. I was surprised it did hold two Rapha water 675ml water bottles. It did the job of not bothering me, holding my snacks, my smartphone, tools, and two bottles. Cushions on the back was spot-on. I haven’t used the straps yet, it was a hot day and I didn’t bring a jacket. Yeah, the strap could hold a light jacket, vest, or something else. Mine wasn’t a black version, it’s a light peach color and I like it for visibility.

Trail hip pack
Hard to keep on your waist when cycling, starts to slide specially if it over cycling jersey and scrubs the rear wheel when dropper is set to lowest. Water bottle clamps are not as secure, ive lost 3 bottles on the trail, wish the bottles had curves below so they can be secured with the loop a little bit better.

Not as roomy, a bit tough to handle
This is a nicely constructed fanny pack. Toughly built--meaning, the general materials are thick and hold their shape. I think the zippers were a little tough to use, since the bag material (when not stuffed) creates a wavy path, thus making it difficult to open or close with one hand. The bottle holders are compact. Basically everything requires two hands to use. Also, there's not a lot of room inside. Not what I was looking for.

Everything you need out of a bum bag.
Overall good product, seems to be holding up well and gives you enough space for everything you really need on a ride. Only thing I have noticed is the back padding is starting to "pill" pretty significantly after having this bag for a fairly short period of time. If that doesn't bother you, the 5 stars.

Better then Most!!!
I have owned several hip packs for Mountain biking, the Rapha Trail Hip Pack is the most comfortable one. It holds water bottles snug without being a pain to pull them out when I need a drink. The outside zip pocket is the perfect size for my I-Phone 14 Pro Max and a key. The inside has nice areas to organize a first aid kit, tubeless tire repair kit and "food" for riding. The bungie on the top holds a jacket if rolled up small enough. I would like to have load adjustment straps on the hip belt but it doesn't bounce too much

More is better
I’m enjoying the quality of the Rapha bag. It’s evident in all of Raoha’s products. That being said if they made it 20%-30% bigger, it would exponentially improve the product. Here’s why: the bag has two mesh elastic external pockets that don’t hold much. It would be great if they were larger to accommodate a water bottle. The zipper outer pocket would be easier to
Hold your smart phone if it was just a few inches bigger. It can accommodate it currently, but it’s a very tight squeeze and the skin on my fingers are getting chafed. Good quality that could be great.

Great
Comfortable and practical. This has ample room for all my mid length excursions. Stores my fumpa pump, gloves, tools , keys , food and spare snood with ease. I haven’t tried to put a bidon in it or remove one mid ride and I expect this would be difficult. I would suggest that the bidon holders are for transport and then when you stop you can use them. I used this in some horrendous mud and rain and all my kit remained dry which is a must! It cleaned up really well with a minimal amount of effort. Construction is superb and waist belt kept this in place with minimal slippage. It is very comfortable and I will admit to forgetting it was there and having to check mid ride to see if it had fallen off!

Perfect Sized Bag!!!
I absolutely love this bag. I wanted to make use of this bag outside of riding as well. It’s the perfect size for hiking, vacations, and concerts!! I was able to fit 4 burgers and 2 bottles of water in it!!! Who knew it was to accommodate so much!!

Close but no cigar
I found the belt on this bag to be too narrow and cut into my hips. It was also difficult to keep the bag tight when loaded. Construction is high quality as with all of the Rapha bags I own. I have returned this item.

Comfortable pack, unusable water bottle holders
This is a comfy pack to wear on road or trail but the water bottle holders do not work for standard water bottles at all. You will spend all day trying to put them in and take them out so they are basically useless which makes the pack a bit useless, too. I will likely use for hiking and not biking due to this. :(

Probably the best Lightweight MTB Hip Pack
I've been looking around for a good lightweight Hip Pack, and having compared offerings from a few different brands, this is by far one of the best around ! This pack has great storage in both the zipper pockets, but the winner for me was the bungee chord, which allows me to carry my rain jacket as well. I'm a MTB coach/guide, so the use case for me was to be able to carry and have ease of access to First Aid, along with spares, tools and nutrition for lessons and long rides. The pack is also super comfortable to wear (as in you almost forget you're wearing it).

Great bag for unicycling
I bought this pack in orange colour (Caramel / Silver Gray) and it fits snuggly and looks great.
I bought it for unicycle rides. I tested it on a longer ride with 2x 0.5L maxim bottles, essentials case, tools and some snacks and a banana on the top with the webbing on the top- it worked great.
The bag didn't irritate my skin, the heat transportation mesh works great. I barely noticed the bag on my 35km ride on my 36" unicycle. It was easy to take out/put back bottles while riding.
One thing I miss inside the big pocket is a soft divider like the one that is on the essentials case which could be a great place to keep a phone or a wallet.
I will use it for commute and on longer unicycle/MTB rides.
I recommend this hip pack.

Favorite trail hip pack
I love the trail hip pack. It fits great and and super snug so that it doesn't bounce around. The pack is so comfortable I forget that it is there. I love the two water bottle compartments and the organizational buggies. Great bag!

Nice design, comfortable to wear, more pockets plz
Surprisingly comfortable to wear both on and off the bike. Used it for gravel rides and hiking. Was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the belt is, minding its simple construction. Does not get loose nor does it bounce. I did not use the water bottle pockets extensively, but the few times I did, it was pretty hard to put the bottle back in without sliding the bag forward on my waist and using two hands. Design is simple but elegant, front pocket is too small to contain anything but the smallest items: credit cards, car keys. You might be lucky to squeeze your phone into it, but only if it is not Plus size. Top elastic string on top turned up to be very handy when the bag is packed and you want to take off the jacket/gilet.

Finally, this pack
I had been looking for this precise group of functions and fit in a hip pack for years. Rapha turned out the right one and I’m loving it.

Great Product
Was really questioning using a "fanny pack" on my longer distance rides but am very happy I chose to get this one. 3L is the perfect size for carrying a few food items, gels, a battery pack with plenty of room to spare. The best part is that I barely noticed I had it on. Stayed in place without being annoying or a burden on a few century rides. Very happy with this pack.

A good hip pack
I am impressed with this. It is not huge, which is fine with me. It just gives you that extra carrying capacity without having to have a backpack and feeling you are carrying a “load”. Great for days out and also longer trips. I know it is part of the MTB range but I use it for some urban/local riding, gravel riding and tours.

Creat bag
After buying it I actually used this for 2 days of cross country skiing but found it to be excellent. It was comfortable, sat well on the hips and didn't ride up like some bags do. The pockets and straps are well thought out and feel very well made and robust. I'm sure this will become a well-used and long-lasting bag

Bottle cages to narrow.
The bottle cages are way to narrow, it is almost impossible to stowaway a standard bike bottle (even the small ones with 500 ml) with one hand while riding. Because storage of the water bottles was one of the main points of focus for me, I cannot recommend the purchase because when mountain biking you often cannot ride hands-free to stow the bottle.

Exactly what I need and nothing extra.
Perfect size. It fits my iPhone 13, tube, levers, multi tool, CO2, and tubeless punch, keys, wallet, gels, and bars. Zipper is high quality. Belt is easy to adjust and lock. Most of the time I forget I’m wearing it. Bottle holders are tight and would be difficult to insert a bottle on the move with one hand.

Practical!
I wasn’t sure that I was going to like this bag. Would it bounce around? Would it be practical? Make me look silly? Half a year later I can say that it has been with me on every ride although I haven’t felt it. It fits some tools, an extra layer and my phone. Does it make me look silly? Probably.

Overall works well
This bag is comfortable and before much time you forget it’s back there. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get the bottles all the way in and you have to pull the elastic up to make sure they are locked in. The straps to hold the bottles seem like they are too low to be useful.
